Odaily Planet Daily reports: Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson, when discussing the deletion of Section 604 of the CLARITY Act, stated that the clause could hold open-source developers legally responsible for others' use of their code over the long term. He pointed out that after developers release open-source software, they may still be held permanently liable if their code is subsequently abused by others without consent, adding that this would pose a serious threat to the environment of open-source innovation.
