Bitcoin dominance rebounds to over 58%, market may be entering a consolidation phase
Odaily Planet Daily News: Data shows that Bitcoin's market dominance has rebounded from a local low of approximately 55% to around 58.5%, indicating that capital is once again shifting towards Bitcoin.
Bitcoin dominance is often viewed as an important indicator for observing capital rotation in the crypto market. A rising dominance usually signals that the market is entering a consolidation period, with Bitcoin performing relatively stronger than altcoins. Conversely, a decline in dominance is often accompanied by capital flowing into higher-risk assets, fueling the so-called "altcoin season."
For comparison, Bitcoin’s market dominance peaked between 62% and 63% in mid-2025, then continued to decline against the backdrop of rising altcoin activity, falling to around 54%. The current rebound to over 58% suggests that the market is more likely in a phase of consolidation rather than a full-scale shift into an altcoin market cycle.
