Wells Fargo Boosts ETH ETF Holdings in Q1, Heavily Increases Position in Strategy Stock
Odaily reports that Wells Fargo's latest 13F filing shows the bank increased its holdings in multiple Ethereum spot ETFs in the first quarter of 2026, including BlackRock's ETHA and Bitwise's ETHW.
Specifically, ETHA holdings rose from approximately 672,600 shares in Q4 2025 to roughly 1.1 million shares, an increase of about 63.5%; ETHW holdings increased from around 186,800 shares to approximately 257,000 shares, up about 37%. As of the end of Q1, the total value of Wells Fargo's ETH ETF holdings stood at approximately $21.5 million.
In comparison, its Bitcoin ETF holdings showed divergence: the IBIT position decreased slightly, while holdings in BITB and the Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust ETF increased by approximately 24% and 41%, respectively. IBIT remains its largest crypto ETF position, valued at around $250 million.
Additionally, Wells Fargo significantly adjusted its crypto-related stock portfolio, reducing its position in Galaxy Digital by approximately 97%, while increasing its position in Strategy from roughly 322,700 shares to 726,000 shares, an increase of about 125%. (Cointelegraph)
