U.S. Senate Passes Procedural Vote on Sanctions Against Russia and Iran

Odaily reports that on July 28 local time, the U.S. Senate passed a procedural vote on a bill aimed at imposing sanctions on Russia and Iran, with 86 votes in favor and 12 against. According to the bill, the United States will impose a 100% secondary tariff on countries that continue to purchase Russian oil and gas. Additionally, the bill includes new provisions extending the sanctions against Iran, which were originally set to expire at the end of this year, to ensure that the relevant sanctions remain in effect.
