Pakistan launches public consultation on draft of "2026 Pakistan Virtual Asset Service Regulations"

Feedback is open until 4:00 PM local time on July 2. The draft establishes a licensing and regulatory framework for virtual asset service providers, specifying rules for corporate governance, risk management, cybersecurity, anti-money laundering, and other areas, along with ten categories of licensed business manuals. This consultation aims to strengthen the local regulatory framework and align the country's virtual asset regulatory system with FATF international standards.
