Iran Ministry of Foreign Affairs: U.S.-Iran Potential Understanding Only for Continued Dialogue, Not a Final Agreement
Odaily Planet Daily News On the 13th, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Bagheri stated that any potential understanding reached between Iran and the United States is only intended to promote continued dialogue between the two sides, not a final agreement; unfreezing Iran's frozen assets will be an indispensable part of any Iran-U.S. understanding. According to Iran's Student News Agency, Bagheri said during a meeting with media representatives that Iran's current focus is on ending hostilities on all fronts and regional tensions, and at this stage, it will not delve deeply into the details of the nuclear issue. He stated that the only way to achieve regional security is to end the presence of foreign military forces in the region.
Bagheri emphasized that the issue of unfreezing Iran's assets is an important component of the understanding and will not be excluded. Current topics under discussion also include eliminating hostile U.S. actions against Iranian ships and issues related to the Strait of Hormuz. Bagheri said that Iran will act with the utmost prudence in advancing negotiations and diplomatic processes, while remaining vigilant based on past experiences.
