Iran Foreign Ministry: Expecting Rapid Results from Iran-US Negotiations Is Unrealistic
Odaily Planet Daily News Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Baghaei stated that expecting rapid results from Iran-US negotiations is unrealistic. Baghaei said that over the 47 years since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, deep distrust and suspicion towards US actions have accumulated.
He emphasized that one should not expect negotiations to yield results in a short time, "After all, this has been an extremely bloody war." He noted that the United States and Israel have been "extremely brutal," as evidenced by the conflicts in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon over the past two and a half years.
Baghaei said: "Under these circumstances, regardless of who the mediator is, it is unrealistic to expect an agreement to be reached in a short time." (CCTV)
