Gate Launches Stock Transfer Function: Enables Cross-Broker Asset Transfer for US and Hong Kong Stocks

Gate has officially launched stock transfer-in and transfer-out functions, supporting the cross-brokerage transfer of U.S. and Hong Kong stock assets, further optimizing its global stock trading service system. Users can apply to transfer stocks held by external brokerages into Gate, or transfer holdings from their Gate stock account out to other brokerages, enabling more flexible and efficient management and allocation of stock assets.
Gate's newly launched stock transfer service does not charge fees for transferring stocks in or out. The service uses the FOP transfer method, where U.S. stocks are processed through the DTC system and Hong Kong stocks through the CCASS system. The entire transfer process is expected to take 3 to 15 business days, with actual completion times depending on the processing efficiency of both brokerages and market procedures.
In terms of usage process, users can access the "Transfer Stock In" or "Transfer Stock Out" functions under "Common Features" on the "More" page of the Gate App. They can then select the U.S. or Hong Kong stock market according to the prompts, fill in brokerage information, stock symbols, quantity, and other relevant details, and submit the application. For transfers in, users need to contact the original brokerage to initiate the withdrawal; for transfers out, they must accurately fill in the receiving brokerage's information. The platform also provides an application record query function, allowing users to check the processing status in real-time, including different stages such as processing, completed, and canceled. Currently, this feature is rolling out gradually, and users can stay tuned for future version updates.
To further reduce costs for users transferring assets between brokerages, Gate is concurrently launching a limited-time "Stock Transfer Welcome Offer" campaign. During the event period from July 1, 2026, to July 7, 2026, users who register and submit applications for transferring in U.S. or Hong Kong stocks, successfully achieving a transferred-in asset market value equivalent to at least 3,000 USDT, can apply for a handling fee subsidy based on valid transfer fee documents from the original brokerage, and enjoy a VIP upgrade privilege. The maximum subsidy for U.S. stock transfer fees is 15,000 USDT, and for Hong Kong stocks, it is 6,000 USDT. The VIP level can be upgraded up to VIP 9.
