On the afternoon of November 26, 2025, a level 5 fire broke out at Hung Fuk Court in Tai Po, New Territories, Hong Kong, causing significant casualties and property damage. This severe disaster touched the hearts of the entire Hong Kong and even the global Chinese community, prompting emergency actions from all sectors to support the affected residents through donations, supplies, and volunteer services.
Against this backdrop, on November 28, 2025, the AB Charitable Foundation donated HK$10 million, and on December 1, it added HK$2 million, bringing the total donation to HK$12 million through the Hong Kong General Association for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China.
On December 2, the AB Charitable Foundation donated an additional HK$3 million. This brings the total amount donated by the AB Charitable Foundation, through the Hong Kong General Association for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China, to HK$15 million for projects related to the Tai Po Hung Fook Court fire. The foundation hopes that, with the joint efforts of the Hong Kong SAR government and all sectors of society, it can help affected residents return to normal life as soon as possible and continue the spirit of mutual support and solidarity embodied in the "Lion Rock Spirit."
