Odaily reports that SlowMist has released an analysis report on the DarkSword trojan's backend and iOS attack chain. According to the report, after the relevant exploit code was publicly disclosed in March 2026, DarkSword-PROV2 appeared on GitHub in July, and its attack infrastructure was observed coming online in late September. SlowMist traced the related online infrastructure, linked its management panel to a public GitHub repository, and analyzed the exploit code, delivery chain, and post-compromise exploitation capabilities. The report shows that the attack framework integrates exploit, device and data collection, data exfiltration, and crypto wallet fund consolidation functions. It can target keychains, files, messages, and crypto wallet data, and has the ability to decrypt wallet data and consolidate funds. Although the toolkit claims support for iOS 13 and later, code analysis shows that its actually effective exploitation window is concentrated in iOS 18.6 to 18.7.2 and iOS 26.0 to 26.1. The public exploit components have been integrated into a deployable attack framework. SlowMist advises users to update their iOS systems promptly and avoid clicking untrusted links; opening malicious pages in the Safari browser may also trigger the exploit. If a device has visited a suspicious landing page, users should treat their mnemonic phrase and private key as compromised, use a clean device that has never visited the page to create a new wallet and transfer assets, and check for abnormal transactions and token approvals across chains, revoking unnecessary approvals.
Odaily: ENS DAO has initiated an on-chain vote on the proposal to activate ENSv2 on Ethereum mainnet. The vote will end on October 25 at 13:32. As of now, 6 wallets have cast 531,300 ENS, with approximately 100% in favor, but the quorum has not yet been reached. The proposal contains 15 actions, which will be executed all at once by an execution contract controlled by the DAO; if any single action fails, none of the actions will take effect. The previously approved pricing scheme will take effect after the proposal is executed, and the same applies to renewals of domains that have not been migrated. Some voters oppose raising the annual fee for domains of 5 characters or more from $5 to $8.
Odaily reports: Digital asset trading platform KuCoin has announced the launch of KuCoin 5.0, deploying AI Assistant 5.x and an internal AI system called KIA. The system serves over 45 million users globally and can pause AI analysis, recommendations, and task execution that rely on unreliable data during extreme market conditions or large-scale liquidations.
Logan Xie, Head of KuCoin AI Lab, stated that KIA classifies inputs by source credibility and implements source verification, context isolation and sanitization, and context lifecycle management. AI decision support and backend execution logic are isolated from each other, with the trading system responsible for authorization, verification, and execution to prevent unauthorized operations.
KuCoin 5.0 also introduces a unified trading account for VIP1 and above users, using KCUSD as collateral and integrating spot, margin, and futures trading; it also supports sub-accounts directly using Earn without manual transfers, and upgrades the personal center, sub-account controls, cross-device K-line charts, and color vision accessibility mode. Odaily reports: The Economic Crime Investigation Bureau of the Shenzhen Municipal Public Security Bureau has issued a warning about new types of scams packaged as "RWA real estate tokenization" and "blockchain evidence storage." The Economic Crime Investigation Unit pointed out that technical terminology does not equal trust endorsement, and technical verifiability does not mean a project is compliant and legal. Wrongdoers may infiltrate technical communities, posing as industry veterans and leveraging community trust to lower others' guard. Contract addresses and company registration numbers only prove that code exists and that an entity has been registered—they do not mean the underlying assets actually exist, nor do they mean the project has financial business qualifications.
Odaily Report: White-Haired Stock Oracle Serenity posted on X platform that the market may have misinterpreted the impact of Microsoft (MSFT) exiting its partnership with Nscale. In his view, this event may actually constitute a positive catalyst for Neocloud (new cloud computing) companies such as Nebius (NBIS) and IREN (IREN) that possess powered data center capacity and compute delivery capabilities.
Serenity noted that Microsoft's exit from the partnership does not mean it no longer needs AI compute, but rather that Nscale may have been unable to deliver on schedule. Microsoft still needs to find other suppliers to meet its compute demands, and therefore companies with readily available power resources and rapid delivery capabilities may gain new order opportunities. This event should not be simply interpreted as bearish for the entire Neocloud industry.
Previously reported, Microsoft (MSFT.O) has withdrawn from a data center partnership project with UK emerging cloud service provider Nscale in Lawford, Essex, UK. Microsoft did not disclose the specific reasons for terminating the partnership, but the project had been facing a series of delays. Local authorities have informed Nscale that power is not expected to be supplied to the facility until the 2030s.

Odaily Report: Three men in Bristol, UK, broke into a man's home in the early hours of May 15, assaulted the victim, and demanded he hand over a large amount of cryptocurrency. The victim sustained head injuries and was hospitalized for treatment; the three men were unsuccessful in their attempt.
