Odaily News: Multiple official X accounts under the Irish National Police (An Garda Síochána) are suspected of being hijacked by hackers and used for cryptocurrency promotion. The affected accounts include the official traffic safety account GardaTraffic, which has approximately 600,000 followers, and the general government affairs account GardaInfo, which has nearly 300,000 followers. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening. The hackers removed the accounts' official police badge verification, changed the account location to Amsterdam, Netherlands, and intensively posted multiple tweets promoting crypto assets, including phishing content that lured users to claim XRP allocations. Currently, some of the violating tweets have been flagged with warnings by the platform. Irish police responded that they are aware of the security incident and will issue an official investigation statement later.

Odaily News: Security firm Hacken disclosed that a total of 107 cryptocurrency hacking incidents were recorded in Q3 2026, with total losses amounting to $1.18 billion. Of that, approximately $906 million stemmed from compromised vendors, developer tools, disclosed but undeployed fixes, and infrastructure outside audit scope, accounting for roughly 77% of quarterly losses.
Quarterly losses were mainly concentrated in four incidents: crypto trading platform Bitget suffered $387 million in losses from an attack, Liquid Network lost $320 million to exploitation, Tectonic lost $120 million to exploitation, and a Coldcard firmware vulnerability caused approximately $115 million in losses. About 80% of losses were concentrated in the above incidents, while 98 incidents resulted in losses below $10 million, with a median of $670,000.
Smart contract incidents were the most common attack type, involving 71 incidents and causing $228 million in losses. Q3 was the most severe quarter for losses since Q1 2025, when a $1.4 billion loss by Bybit pushed the quarterly total to $1.6 billion.
Approximately $387 million of Q3 losses were returned or reversed, accounting for about 33% of gross losses. Among these, about $272 million was returned in the Liquid Network incident; the Tectonic incident reversed approximately $111.2 million in lending impact by rolling back 114 minutes of blockchain history, and Circle and Tether also froze approximately $340,000 related to funds stolen from Bitget. Operators additionally absorbed $410 million in user losses, leaving approximately $384 million still not returned or covered. (Cointelegraph)

Odaily Report: Thailand's listing rules for Bitcoin and Ether exchange-traded funds (ETFs) will take effect on Friday. James Butterfill, head of research at digital asset investment firm CoinShares, said initial inflows for the first batch of products are expected to be in the tens of millions of dollars, and expectations of reaching billions are unrealistic.
Once the new rules take effect, Thai retail investors will be able to gain exposure to the relevant assets through locally listed crypto ETFs; investing in overseas crypto ETFs through domestic brokers will be limited to institutional investors and ultra-high-net-worth investors. The first batch of Thai crypto funds will still need to obtain regulatory approval and complete custody and distribution arrangements before they can trade.
Butterfill compared the situation to Hong Kong. As of the end of September, global crypto exchange-traded product (ETP) assets under management stood at $172.9 billion, of which Hong Kong accounted for $733 million, or 0.42%.
He said some investors have already gained Bitcoin exposure through overseas funds or direct trading, which could limit demand for local ETFs. MFC Asset Management launched the Bitcoin ETF Tracker Fund (MBTCETF-UI) in 2024, which invests in BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT); ONE Asset Management became the first Thai asset management company approved for a Bitcoin ETF-linked fund in the same year. Odaily Report: The U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) stated in its latest report that some large banks have relaxed restrictions on digital asset-related businesses, but it remains unclear whether these adjustments have truly improved the ability of related companies to access financial services. The OCC warned that even if banks relax some restrictions, operational-level constraints may still result in some digital asset companies being effectively excluded from the financial services system.
Odaily reports: “White-Haired Stock Oracle” Serenity posted that Musk’s recent abrupt interactions with multiple finance-sector KOLs have amplified market concerns about CoreWeave (CRWV) financing risks and speculative behavior among AI investors. Although Musk is highly visionary, from the outside, continuously magnifying the problems facing competitors and accusing Samsung and SK Hynix of overpricing may further increase the financing difficulty of those parties. These remarks may benefit Tesla and SpaceX in the long run, but the market may also overlook the specific context of some of these issues as a result.
Serenity added that it had previously raised concerns multiple times about CoreWeave’s debt interest burden and the risk of rising rates, and criticized the market for lacking detailed analysis of changes in high-end memory chip supply and Broadcom CEO’s remarks about OpenAI’s annualized recurring revenue (ARR). It also suggested that when Musk criticizes competitors, he should also consider the risks he himself faces.

Odaily News: Hyperliquid founder Jeff Yan said in an interview that he hopes US regulators will recognize the Hyperliquid L1 blockchain as infrastructure rather than an exchange, and place compliance responsibility primarily on institutions operating trading markets on the chain.
This proposal could potentially allow regulated intermediaries such as Bitnomial and Kraken to provide on-chain perpetual contract trading services to US users without requiring Hyperliquid itself to complete the full exchange registration process, thereby further integrating traditional finance with the on-chain ecosystem.
However, Hyperliquid's offshore structure may still face opposition from the US Congress and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), and the related regulatory path remains uncertain. (Bloomberg)

Newly listed Transsion Holdings (02636.HK) fell over 5%, Zhipu dropped 11.01%, MINIMAX-W declined 12.29%, Iluvatar CoreX fell 13.58%, and Lenovo Group dropped 15.20%.
Odaily reports that Bonk Guy posted on X platform stating that Super Inu (SI) has maintained price support despite a significant increase in trading volume. Although the largest holder previously sold approximately 4% of the total token supply, the price did not decline further significantly, which he believes may indicate that SI has reached a local bottom.
Bonk Guy pointed out that SI is currently at the bottom of its price range. As large holders reduce their positions, the token's holding distribution has noticeably improved, and its appeal to whales and new buyers is increasing.
He believes that SI is one of the stronger emerging Meme coin narratives in this cycle. The current risk-reward ratio for going long is attractive, and he expects it to potentially break its all-time high in the future, reaching a market cap of at least several hundred million dollars.
