Aptos' encrypted mempool feature has launched on mainnet, aiming to prevent front-running and sandwich attacks

Odaily: Layer 1 blockchain Aptos has announced that its Encrypted Mempool feature is now live on mainnet, designed to mitigate maximal extractable value (MEV)-related risks, including front-running and sandwich attacks.

The feature is an opt-in mechanism. Once enabled by users, pending transactions remain encrypted until block transaction ordering is finalized, preventing bots from accessing information such as transaction assets, amounts, and smart contract interactions in advance and using that information to execute targeted trades.

Aptos stated that the feature is primarily aimed at institutions executing large on-chain transactions, traders looking to reduce MEV risk, AI agents, and developers.

According to Cointelegraph, citing EigenPhi data, Ethereum traders lost approximately $60 million to sandwich attacks in the 12 months ending October 2025. Separately, according to Bitquery statistics, Solana experienced nearly 6.9 million sandwich attacks during an 11-month observation period, involving approximately 2.2 million wallets and generating about $29.7 million in profits for the bots involved. Sophon officially confirms mainnet shutdown on November 30, users must withdraw assets by November 25

Odaily reports: Modular blockchain Sophon posted on X that it had previously announced a phased shutdown plan for Sophon Chain, and now plans to permanently shut down the Sophon mainnet on November 30, 2026. November 25 is the deadline for asset withdrawals; after that, key infrastructure and related websites will begin to close sequentially, and assets remaining on Sophon Chain after the deadline may face the risk of permanent inaccessibility.

Sophon reminds users to withdraw liquid assets such as SOPH, ETH, and USDC through official channels, and to claim any unclaimed staking rewards or Guardian rewards; users holding unclaimed Sophon farm assets also need to withdraw those as well.

Officials emphasize that users should act by November 25 rather than November 30, and should not wait until the last day. They also advise using only official Sophon links and to beware of fraudulent migration websites.

US Congress Advances the Digital Asset Tax Certainty Act, Proposing a Voluntary Disclosure Relief Program for Digital Asset Taxes

Odaily reports that the U.S. Congress is advancing the Digital Asset Tax Certainty Act (H.R. 10357). Section 502 of the bill requires the U.S. Department of the Treasury to establish a "Digital Asset Voluntary Disclosure Program" within 12 months after the bill takes effect, allowing compliant taxpayers to correct past digital asset tax violations by submitting amended returns and paying back taxes plus interest, and to receive penalty relief. The bill has passed the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee by a vote of 38 to 5 and still requires full votes in the House and Senate as well as the President's signature. Under the provisions, taxpayers generally must submit amended returns within 24 months after the program launches; if they demonstrate that the violation was non-willful and does not constitute fraud, those who file within the first 12 months may receive relief from penalties on the first $25,000 of tax owed, with a 5% penalty on the excess, while taxpayers who do not make such a demonstration are subject to a higher penalty rate.

Hassett: CPI Data Shows Inflation Problem "Still Needs Work"

Odaily Report: National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett stated that prices for goods such as beef and eggs have already declined, but September's consumer price data indicates that the overall inflation problem still requires policy attention. Hassett said: "If you look back over the past three months, inflation seemed to be completely under control, but now it appears to be picking up again and needs some intervention measures." German Savings Banks Launch Crypto Trading Service with €0.99 Fee per Order

Odaily: German savings banks launched cryptocurrency trading services this Monday. The first batch of participating institutional clients can directly buy and sell Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana, and Polygon through the existing official app. The service is supported by Dekabank, with crypto asset custody jointly handled by Dekabank and Stuttgart Stock Exchange. The fee is €0.99 per order, and users do not need to link a traditional securities account. Individual savings banks will decide their own launch timelines, with an estimated 30 to 40 savings banks onboarding each month, aiming to cover most interested savings banks by the first half of 2027. DSGV management board member Joachim Schmalzl stated that the product primarily targets customers who wish to independently trade and custody crypto assets. Savings banks do not provide investment advice and will not conduct extensive proactive marketing in the initial phase. German savings banks also caution that cryptocurrencies are highly speculative assets with potentially severe price volatility, and customers may face the risk of total loss. Traditional securities investment, savings plans, and financial advisory services remain their core business.
