Odaily News: As private assets become difficult to sell and investor redemption requests surge, Wall Street's main financial regulator is urging the financial industry to step up its efforts in valuing such assets. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Monday issued a statement regarding existing regulatory requirements. Although it did not propose new rules, it is viewed as a "key reminder." This signals that the agency will focus on how firms determine the value of their holdings and how they disclose these values and related risks to investors.
The SEC's Office of the Chief Accountant and the Division of Investment Management said in a joint statement: "Across the valuation and disclosure topics discussed in this statement, the core message is consistent: sound policies and procedures, combined with adequate material disclosure, help investors understand an entity's fair value assessment process, the judgments involved, and the risks associated with private assets."
Odaily News: The Kobeissi Letter posted on X platform stating that AI agents are entering commercial transactions in large numbers, but there is currently a lack of unified standards to verify who AI agents represent and whether they are authorized. This means that software with insufficient security could make large expenditures on behalf of individuals and institutions, while the AI agent market is projected to exceed $53 billion by 2030.
Stripe stated in June of this year that 70% of its API data access instructions already come from AI agents; over the past year, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express have all launched AI agent commerce protocols, and Shopify has also opened AI agent sales channels to approximately 1 million merchants by default. The Kobeissi Letter believes that as AI agents become widespread, simple and secure transactions will become increasingly difficult to identify.

Odaily reports: DeFi researcher Ignas posted on X that there are currently too few quality tokens in the market that truly have strong revenue support—only about 20 projects have holders generating daily revenue of over $50,000. However, this may also further concentrate capital and market attention toward a small number of projects. For this reason, he looks forward to more projects that have already generated actual revenue launching token generation events (TGEs), and hopes Polymarket will also adopt a TGE model.
Ignas added that after further considering valuation, token unlocks, and revenue sustainability, the pool of viable targets will shrink even further. Although some tokens may appear attractive, their market cap to fully diluted valuation (MC/FDV) ratios are not ideal. As a result, investors need to bet that demand growth will outpace the supply growth brought by token unlocks, making some tokens more suitable for trading than for long-term holding.
Ignas believes that for most tokens, what investors are still trading is narrative and market sentiment, and they need to trust that project teams will deliver on their promises. With several DAOs having recently dissolved, the so-called "decentralized" accountability mechanisms are also not sufficient.

Odaily reports that Ledger CTO Charles Guillemet has stated that the view that only about 30% of BTC faces quantum computing risk, while the remaining roughly 70% is safe due to public key hash protection, is problematic. Previous Glassnode data shows that approximately 30.2% of BTC has already exposed its spending public key on-chain, but Guillemet points out that this only measures the static state on-chain; unexposed public keys may still exist in xpubs, devices, PSBTs, logs, or backups. At the same time, once BTC initiates a transaction, the public key becomes public before the transaction is confirmed.
Guillemet cites Google Quantum AI research, stating that under the assumption of a high-speed quantum computer that does not yet exist, a relevant attack targeting secp256k1 could be completed in about 9 minutes. Therefore, simply hiding public keys cannot solve the quantum risk, and Bitcoin will ultimately still need to migrate to post-quantum cryptography.
Odaily News: AMC CEO Adam Aron posted on X again, calling out Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev and Chief Legal Officer Dan Gallagher. Adam Aron pointed out that Robinhood had previously expressed support for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)'s position on U.S. stock tokenization, arguing that tokenized stocks should carry voting rights and that companies should be able to opt out. If Robinhood does not adopt the same principles in its overseas business, it would be "hypocritical." He called on Robinhood not to go against the SEC's position, saying "don't slap the SEC in the face."
