Odaily report: Crypto analyst Darkfost posted on X with a chart, stating that compared to the end of August, the Bitcoin market trend has shown a clear shift, which can be observed from changes in the Capital Cost Basis. This metric calculates a weighted realized price based on transaction volume (USD), giving higher weight to BTC purchased at higher prices, thereby more accurately reflecting the actual cost of market capital.
Data shows that at the end of August, BTC was still struggling near this key level, but Bitcoin has now closed above the capital cost basis of approximately $80,400 for several consecutive weeks. This means that most of the capital invested in the market is now in slight profit. As investor positions gradually turn profitable, market stability is strengthening by the day, which is a positive signal for the current BTC consolidation phase.

Odaily News: Bank of Japan Governor Kazuo Ueda said on Tuesday: "We will continue to raise policy rates and adjust the degree of monetary easing gradually, in line with developments in economic activity, prices, and financial conditions. We will consider the timing and pace of adjustments after assessing risks and the likelihood of our baseline economic and price scenarios materializing." Ueda's remarks came as economists widely expect the Bank of Japan to keep its current policy unchanged at its next policy meeting, which concludes on October 30.
Ueda reiterated the Bank of Japan's policy stance and economic assessment, suggesting he sees no need to overturn this market expectation, while also leaving room for a rate hike after October. Overnight index swap market pricing shows that investors see about a 12% probability of a BOJ rate hike this month; when the December meeting is taken into account, that probability rises to about 90%. At the OKX NOW Summit in Singapore, OKX showcased an AI ecosystem comprising products such as Agent Trade Kit, OnchainOS, Agentic Wallet, OKX AI, and the AI Builder Program, enabling agents to move from market analysis to trade execution while expanding into scenarios including onchain asset management, service transactions, and developer monetization. The event also featured a demo of the upcoming AI Bot, which allows users to create personalized trading strategies through natural language.
This system connects exchanges, onchain infrastructure, wallets, and an agent services marketplace, supporting AI in managing assets and executing trades under user authorization, while also enabling users to subscribe to professional agent services and developers to turn strategies and knowledge into income.
Odaily News: ARK Invest CEO Cathie Wood said that when investors assess the next wave of technology trends, they should shift from focusing on where developers spend their time to tracking the spending behavior of AI Agents — that is, observing which services autonomous software pays money to. As AI Agents evolve from answering questions to autonomously executing tasks, the market needs to pay attention to how these agents choose services, complete transactions, and where funds flow. In the future, payment activity generated by AI Agents may reflect real technology adoption more than product launches themselves.
Predicting market developments for 2027, Cathie Wood said that OpenAI, Anthropic, and NVIDIA will continue to be at the core of AI infrastructure competition, while compute supply, energy, capital investment, and model reliability will remain key constraints on industry expansion. If AI Agents have already begun autonomously selecting services and making payments, then tracking their money flows could become an important way to measure AI commercialization progress. Odaily News: A 28-year-old Russian national identified as a core member of the globally notorious ransomware gang Qilin was arrested in Japan and lawfully extradited to Germany on October 2. Reports state that the man is suspected of illegally breaching a German logistics company's systems in September 2024, encrypting its data, and demanding and extorting approximately $165,000 (about 26 million yen) in Bitcoin. Investigations show that within the Qilin criminal network, he was responsible for building attack systems and received a proportional cut of the ransom payments collected by various affiliate execution teams.
Japanese police took him into custody in late May of this year while he was traveling in Osaka, and he was subsequently handed over to German authorities after the Tokyo High Court ruled that the conditions for extradition were met. Qilin operates on a "ransomware-as-a-service" (RaaS) model and previously claimed responsibility in 2025 for a cyberattack on Japan's Asahi Group. (Nada News)

Odaily News: Wall Street IPO activity has slowed to a trickle, with weak investor demand for new listings and market concerns over excessive valuations weighing on a quarter that had been expected to see a wave of offerings. Delays to the listings of Anthropic and OpenAI have also dampened sentiment in the U.S. equity capital markets. The head of equity capital markets at a major U.S. asset management firm said: "Nobody cares about any company other than Anthropic right now." Investment bankers' brisk business this year was largely driven by SpaceX's June IPO. But growing market concerns about a downturn in the AI industry and public opposition to data centers have caused the IPO market to dry up in recent weeks.
The banker added that investors are increasingly questioning the "detached from reality" valuations of companies tied to the AI investment boom. Data from BCA Research shows that shares of tech companies that went public this year have fallen by an average of about 23% since their first day of trading, further fueling concerns that banks underpriced deals too aggressively in order to win underwriting mandates.
