Riot Platforms Holds 2,418 Bitcoin as of End of September, Down ~79% Over Three Months

Odaily reports that Bitcoin News posted on X that Riot Platforms sold 10,599 bitcoin in the third quarter and held 2,418 as of September 30, down from 11,380 at the end of June. Riot has sold 20,264 bitcoin this year at an average price of $70,855 per coin, generating approximately $1.5 billion in total proceeds. The company said the decline in holdings is intentional and expects to continue selling the vast majority of the bitcoin it mines.
