Ethereum Economic Zone Releases Rollup X Development Testnet, Demonstrating Atomic Cross-Chain Execution

Odaily reports: The Ethereum Economic Zone (EEZ), jointly initiated by Gnosis and Zisk and funded by the Ethereum Foundation, has released the Rollup X development testnet at Devcon 8 to demonstrate synchronous composability. The EEZ aims to connect applications on specialized chains through Ethereum's neutral infrastructure, enabling atomic cross-chain execution, allowing contracts on EEZ rollups or the Ethereum mainnet to call another contract within a single transaction, with ETH as the default gas token and no new token introduced. The EEZ is governed by a Swiss nonprofit organization, with alliance members including Aave, Safe, and Centrifuge.
