Analyst: Majority of Bitcoin Short-Term Holders Transfer to Exchanges at a Loss, 24-Hour Net Difference Reaches 18,600 BTC

Odaily reports: According to monitoring by Axel Adler Jr., Bitcoin short-term holders continue to transfer tokens to exchanges at a loss. On October 27, the 24-hour inflow balance of the "short-term holder net profit" metric was negative 18,600 BTC, meaning loss-driven inflows exceeded profit-driven inflows by 18,600 BTC; one week earlier, the balance was positive 10,400 BTC. On October 26, the balance had dropped to negative 23,100 BTC, and though it has since narrowed, it remains negative, as it has been since August of this year. This metric tracks exchange inflows from holders who have held tokens for less than six months, with negative values indicating that loss-driven inflows dominate. For the week ending October 27, the share of time periods in which short-term holder exchange inflows were profit-driven fell from 75% to 16%.
