Tether Invests in Latin American Stablecoin Infrastructure Company EFY Finance to Advance Institutional Adoption of USD₮

Odaily News: Stablecoin issuer Tether has announced an investment in the seed round of Latin American financial infrastructure company EFY Finance to advance the institutional adoption of USD₮ and USA₮.

Tether stated that the investment aims to strengthen the connection between stablecoins and the traditional financial system, and to support EFY Finance in developing stablecoin-based cross-border payments, account services, and digital asset custody infrastructure. EFY Finance currently offers USD₮ and USA₮ on/off-ramp services, over-the-counter (OTC) trading, wallet, and payment card services, covering local settlement channels in more than 12 currencies and 17 countries. The company has obtained a Digital Asset Service Provider license in El Salvador and serves over 25,000 individual and business accounts.
