US media: OpenAI reportedly plans to "revive" Sora
Odaily reports: According to people familiar with the matter, a stealth startup developing AI video for filmmakers is in talks with OpenAI to obtain access to Sora, adapt its capabilities, and sell software or other services built on the model. The startup was founded several months ago by Hollywood producer Jeffrey Katzenberg, former Sora research lead Bill Peebles, and former Dropbox CFO Sujay Jaswa, and its name has not yet been disclosed. It remains unclear whether the startup will be able to obtain Sora's weights, but people familiar with the matter said that if the deal is reached, the company would gain sufficiently deep access to allow for substantial customization.
