NUVA Launches HOME Token, Bringing U.S. Residential Mortgage Yield Exposure On-Chain
Odaily reports: NUVA, a real-world asset (RWA) platform launched by Animoca Brands and Nuva Labs, has introduced the HOME token, offering eligible overseas investors exposure to U.S. residential home equity line of credit (HELOC) yields, with a minimum investment of 1 USDC.
The HOME token corresponds to an investment vault that will initially hold home equity lines of credit originated by Figure Technology Solutions. NUVA targets an annualized yield of 7%, with the yield target adjusted monthly. Loan interest income and asset performance will be credited to the vault's net asset value and reflected in the HOME token price.
NUVA stated that HOME holders do not directly own individual loans but instead gain overall exposure to the loan portfolio through the token. The product seeks to bring U.S. residential credit assets—typically available only to institutional investors—into decentralized finance (DeFi) through an on-chain format compliant with the Ethereum ERC-20 standard. HOME is currently only available to eligible non-U.S. users, and NUVA will enforce regional restrictions through wallet screening and IP address blocking. (CoinDesk)
