Gate Partners with Visa to Launch Crypto-Linked Card, Bringing Digital Assets into Everyday Spending

Odaily reports that during TOKEN2049 Singapore 2026, according to an official announcement, Gate has announced a partnership with Visa to launch a crypto asset-linked card, with the related service expected to roll out across 40+ markets globally. Users can apply for and manage the card through the Gate App, and use digital assets for payments at online and offline merchants that accept Visa. During the payment process, the relevant digital assets will be automatically converted into fiat currency.

Gate has officially launched Gate Money, integrating digital assets, fiat currency, stocks, ETFs, gold, bank accounts, and payments into the Gate App. Eligible users can apply online for a global bank e-account in their own name and complete fund transfers, asset conversions, and payments all within the same platform. The Visa crypto asset-linked card launched by Gate further connects account assets with everyday spending scenarios, extending Gate Money's integrated service chain of "account opening—funding—assets—spending" to more real-world payment scenarios. Currently, users can activate Gate Money with one click by updating the Gate App to version v8.39.0.

Visa's digital payment network covers more than 200 countries and regions, with over 175 million merchant acceptance points. This partnership integrates Gate's digital asset capabilities with Visa's global payment infrastructure, expanding the use of digital assets in shopping, dining, travel, and other everyday spending scenarios. Dr. Han, Founder and CEO of Gate, said that this partnership connects digital asset accounts with broader commercial spending scenarios, making the use of digital assets more flexible and intuitive, and promoting their integration into everyday financial life and business activities. Nischint Sanghavi, Head of Digital Currency for Visa Asia Pacific, said that Visa is committed to working with partners to expand payment options and connect new forms of value with mature digital payment infrastructure. The launch of this crypto-linked card also further extends Gate's business footprint in real-world payments and integrated financial services, providing users with a more convenient way to use digital assets for global commercial spending.
