Ethereum Glamsterdam upgrade raises Sepolia block Gas limit to nearly 200 million
Odaily News: The Ethereum Glamsterdam upgrade has raised the Sepolia testnet's block Gas limit from approximately 60 million to nearly 200 million, as developers test higher capacity to support more payments and transactions.
Early test blocks only used 26% to 46% of their capacity. A 6-minute voting round generated all planned blocks and achieved 99.97% participation of eligible staking weight in finalization.
The upgrade adjusts transaction processing costs and data access costs. The Hoodi testnet is tentatively scheduled for October 27, while the mainnet activation date has not yet been determined. (CoinDesk)
