SMBC Nikko Securities Partners with Uniswap to Develop Compliant DeFi Gateway

Odaily reports that on October 2, SMBC Nikko Securities announced it has signed memoranda of cooperation with Nethermind, Uniswap Labs, Nyx Foundation, and Coinbase Technologies to develop "DeFi Gateway," a DeFi platform for Japanese investors that complies with Japanese laws and regulations. The project will develop a liquidity provision protocol and proprietary liquidity pools, with the parties planning to complete development by mid-2027.
