Solana: Caution Needed Before Reducing Slot Time to 200ms Ahead of Alpenglow Launch

Odaily reports that Solana has stated it has gradually reduced its target Slot Time from 400ms to 250ms, during which the network's skip rate remained stable and the stall time caused by consecutive skipped blocks was also shortened. However, shorter Slot Times have led to increased voting latency, with nodes in Asia and South America being the most affected, so further reducing to 200ms before Alpenglow goes live still requires caution.
