Polymarket to Open New CLOB Market Maker Testing in November, Plans to Complete Two Migration Drills
Odaily reports: Josh, Vice President of prediction market Polymarket, stated on X that the team is fully developing a Rust-based full central limit order book (CLOB), and the current CLOB is the root cause of most of the platform's issues.
According to the plan, October will see the completion of the full order lifecycle process in the testing environment, including trading, settlement, on-chain interactions, indexer, and engine notifications; in November, all production traffic will be mirrored to the new trading cluster and results will be compared with the existing system. At the same time, testing access will be opened to market makers, and the migration and switchover plan will be finalized, with two full drills completed before the official switchover. Josh also stated that if progress goes smoothly, the new system will be officially launched afterward, and the migration is expected to require no changes or only minimal changes for market makers and developers.
