Xie Jiayin: Private key leakage and insider involvement have been completely ruled out

Odaily reports that according to monitoring by Xie Jiayin, in this incident, the attacker exploited a vulnerability in a third-party security product to steal Bitget's internal network access credentials, forged withdrawal instructions to the wallet system, causing the wallet to execute abnormal transfers that passed risk verification, ultimately completing the attack. The attacker did not use common viruses or malicious programs, but instead relied on real identities and routine operations and maintenance activities for disguise and to erase traces. After the incident occurred, Bitget has completely ruled out the possibility of private key leakage and insider involvement.
