Ministry of Commerce: China and the U.S. have agreed to hold the next China-U.S. AI dialogue before the end of November this year

Odaily News: An official from the Department of American and Oceanian Affairs of the Ministry of Commerce interpreted the outcomes of the eighth round of China-U.S. economic and trade consultations. During this round of consultations, both sides agreed that under the China-U.S. economic and trade consultation mechanism, Vice Premier He Lifeng and Treasury Secretary Bessent, as the respective leads for China and the U.S., would establish an AI dialogue and held the first dialogue, exchanging views on AI-related risks and benefits. Both sides agreed to hold the next dialogue before the end of November this year. Both sides agreed to establish a communication channel for AI incidents. (Jinshi)
