According to monitoring by PPP prediction market tool, Polymarket's "Fed will raise rates by 25 basis points in October" probability currently stands at 65%, while the probability of rates remaining unchanged stands at 35%.

Earlier, Citi analysts said the Fed will keep rates unchanged in October and wait for more data to assess the impact of a 25 basis point rate hike, then hold steady again in December, by which time a series of milder inflation data should provide sufficient evidence that inflation is slowing, supporting the Fed to once again keep rates unchanged.
