Citrea Acquires Privacy Bitcoin Wallet Crest, Plans to Introduce Zcash-Like Privacy Features

Odaily News: Citrea has announced the acquisition of self-custodial privacy Bitcoin wallet Crest. Crest will become Citrea's flagship privacy product, and its founder Meliksah Gurtemel will join Citrea as Head of Product. Citrea stated that in the coming weeks, Crest will launch a Bitcoin mobile wallet supporting automatic privacy protection, private BTC transfers, and cross-chain access from Bitcoin and Ethereum. It also plans to support private cross-chain swaps and exit paths, enabling users to privately pay USDC or ETH to EVM addresses using privacy BTC.
