US CFTC Accelerates Crypto Regulatory Rules, Proposal Sent to White House for Review
Odaily reports: After the U.S. Senate failed to advance the CLARITY Act this week, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is accelerating its push on cryptocurrency regulatory rules. The CFTC has submitted a new proposal aimed at regulating cryptocurrency trading and markets to the White House for review. Documents released Friday by the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) show that the proposal was received on Thursday. Had the CLARITY Act passed, the CFTC would have become the primary regulator of digital asset markets. (Bloomberg)
