S&P Global to Acquire OpenZeppelin

Odaily News: OpenZeppelin announced on X that S&P Global will acquire OpenZeppelin. Following the acquisition, OpenZeppelin Contracts and its open-source applications and tools will remain free, open-source, and publicly maintained on GitHub; its audit, engineering, and ecosystem projects will also continue to be operated by the existing team under the OpenZeppelin brand, while gaining support from S&P Global in research, market data, and institutional resources.

OpenZeppelin stated that its smart contracts have facilitated over $37 trillion in value transfers, and that the vast majority of leading DeFi protocols, blockchain networks, stablecoins, and tokenized funds currently use its infrastructure.
