The Fed raises its 2026 and 2027 GDP growth forecasts, with 12 officials expecting one more rate hike this year

Odaily reports that the Fed's latest FOMC economic projections show that the median GDP growth forecasts for 2026 through 2028 are 2.3%, 2.4%, and 2.2%, respectively, compared with the previous forecasts of 2.2%, 2.3%, and 2.2%.

The latest dot plot shows that 12 of 18 officials expect one more 25 basis point rate hike in 2026, 4 expect two more hikes, and 2 expect no further rate increases this year.
