Japan's Financial Services Agency Plans to Promote Onchain Finance Implementation and Upgrade Financial Infrastructure

Odaily reports that Japan's Financial Services Agency has published its "Fiscal Year 2026 Financial Administration Policy," proposing to clarify the technical, institutional, and regulatory challenges of onchain finance through public-private practical verification and dialogue, while ensuring user protection and financial system stability, and to build financial infrastructure that is both convenient and competitive.

Japan's Financial Services Agency will also advance the shortening and upgrading of securities settlement processes in conjunction with the development of asset tokenization, and plans to establish an onchain finance forum for the AI era to discuss the application of digital finance, decentralized finance, and AI technology in the financial sector.
