Odaily reports: OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has stated that OpenAI will not hold an IPO this year, and its listing plans will be postponed to at least 2027. Altman said that given the current situation in the field of AI safety, now is not the right time to go public, and the company is currently under no pressure to do so.
Altman stated that OpenAI still needs to focus on addressing issues such as AI safety and alignment, and to explore ways of cooperation between the industry and government. Previously, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei publicly called for slowing down the AI race, and both Altman and Elon Musk subsequently expressed agreement. (CoinDesk)
