US core CPI monthly rate hits new high since May this year

Odaily News: The US August seasonally adjusted core CPI monthly rate came in at 0.3%, the highest since May this year, exceeding the market expectation of 0.2%, with the previous reading at 0.2%. The US August unadjusted core CPI annual rate fell to 2.4%, declining for three consecutive months and hitting a new low since April 2021, in line with expectations, with the previous reading at 2.5%.
