Analyst: BTC Short-Term Holder Realized Profit Ratio Returns to Profit Range, Bull Market Signals Are Strengthening

2026-09-06 13:32

Odaily News CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost stated on the X platform that Bitcoin's short-term holder profit ratio (STH SOPR) has recently shown noteworthy changes. This indicator, which measures the realized profits of short-term holders who have held Bitcoin for less than 6 months, has now risen above 1, reaching approximately 1.01, marking the first time in over a year that it has entered the profit range.

Darkfost noted that during the last bear market, Bitcoin short-term holders experienced an average loss state for about a year. The current level is significantly higher than the brief reaction seen in May this year, indicating that the optimism of short-term holders is improving. A healthy market does not mean profit-taking should not occur, but rather that profits need to be realized consistently and moderately, especially among short-term holders, who are the most active and sensitive group in the market. If the 30-day moving average of STH SOPR can hold in the current range, it would be a very positive signal, as historically, every bull market has been accompanied by sustained profit realization among STH holders.
