Nearly half of exchanges lack key security attestations; CoinGecko migrates security scores to CORE3

Odaily News: CoinGecko has announced the migration of the cybersecurity scoring component within its centralized exchange Trust Score from CER.live to Hacken's risk infrastructure platform CORE3, covering 166 exchanges and introducing a framework that places greater emphasis on forward-looking risk assessment. CORE3 data shows that among the 193 exchanges it evaluated, approximately 48% did not provide evidence of proof of reserves, penetration testing, or bug bounty programs, while only about 5.2% met all three criteria simultaneously. Users can view the updated cybersecurity scores on CoinGecko and access multidimensional risk breakdowns—covering security, solvency, and transparency—along with loss probability metrics via CORE3.
