All-time high: Solana network's 7-day average fees hit 9,200 SOL, annual inflation reduction rate to double to 30%

Odaily News: On Thursday (August 27), Solana network's 7-day average transaction fees reached nearly 9,200 SOL, an all-time high, up over 80% from three months ago. The 7-day average for non-voting transactions hit 191 million, also a record high, compared to 88 million during the same period last year. Jito validator fees averaged 2,073 SOL per day over the past week, a 26% increase month-over-month. The SGP-0002 "Double Deflation Proposal" passed with 67.001% support and a voter turnout of 60.7%, setting a record for on-chain governance participation on Solana. The proposal increases the annual inflation reduction rate from 15% to 30%, expected to reduce SOL supply by approximately 18.9 million tokens over the next six years.
