JPMorgan Chase Expands Digital Asset Team for Chase Retail Banking, Exploring Crypto Products and Partnerships
Odaily News JPMorgan Chase is expanding its digital asset and blockchain team within the Chase retail banking division, which serves individual and small business clients. The team is responsible for developing digital asset strategy, building partnerships with cryptocurrency companies, and developing new products. JPMorgan Chase is also evaluating options including in-house development, external collaboration, and acquisitions. Team member Sameer Kumar has disclosed that he has joined the division. In February this year, JPMorgan Chase stated that blockchain and stablecoins could potentially be applied to personal finance in the future, but it remains difficult to achieve in the short term. Currently, the bank already serves corporate clients through its Kinexys blockchain business and JPM Coin tokenized deposit services.
