Alipay Chairman: Cryptocurrency as a Payment Medium Has Become One of the Exploration Paths for AI Payments

Odaily News: Han Xinyi, CEO of Ant Group and Chairman of Alipay, stated at the China Payment and Clearing Forum that AI payments have largely formed four exploration paths: The first is payment technology and infrastructure platforms represented by Stripe; the second is represented by cryptocurrency companies such as Circle and Coinbase, which primarily rely on stablecoins and their wallet systems, using cryptocurrency as a payment medium to directly support automated machine-to-machine payment scenarios; the third is traditional payment networks represented by Visa and Mastercard; and the fourth is AI platform companies represented by Google and OpenAI.
