Serenity Criticizes Paywall Chaos in Research and Investment Circles: $1 Subscription Only, Investment Logic Should Be Shared Publicly

2026-08-30 06:34

Odaily News "White-haired Stock Guru" Serenity posted on X, stating that when he first joined X, financial content was flooded with luxury watches, private jets, options trading, "Wall Street secrets" paid communities, and technical analysis charts. He has always wanted to take a different approach by openly sharing his research and investment logic, allowing everyone to access it for free and make their own judgments. Moreover, he recently discovered another disappointing pattern: people first try to compete for the same audience, then quickly funnel traffic toward paid communities or high-priced services; when he refuses to participate in or promote paid groups, they resort to personal attacks disguised as "fundamental disagreements."

Serenity stated that his subscription price has remained at $1 for months and will continue to stay at the minimum price in the future. Although some have claimed he would eventually raise the subscription price to $100, his core investment logic is posted directly on his main X timeline. He could actually put more content behind the paywall, but "I just don't want to do that."

Serenity also listed multiple investment ideas he has previously shared, including AXTI, NBIS, AEHR, MU, INTC, EWY, MRVL, LITE, RPI, IQE, SOI, TSEM, ARM, COHR, among others—many of which have already performed well. Some other investments have yet to pay off due to delays in industry progress, including LPKF's glass substrate and Auros' hybrid bonding. Certain investment themes may not be validated until 2027 to 2028, including Sivers, Foci, Shunsin, CCXI, XFAB, as well as CPO and humanoid directions. There is also some latest research on Etron/ESMT DDR2/DDR3.

Serenity concluded by saying that not every investment idea will prove correct—that is inherently part of the research process. Compared to seeing information increasingly locked behind a $100 paywall or diluted by "engagement-bait" content, he hopes X can foster a new culture where investment logic is openly shared and everyone can learn from the research.
