Foreign media: Up to 30%, Moonshot AI reportedly in talks with US cloud giants over revenue-sharing for Kimi K3 model

Odaily News, sources familiar with the matter revealed that Moonshot AI is in talks with Microsoft, Amazon, and Google over revenue-sharing agreements, aiming to allow these US cloud computing giants to host its Kimi K3 model. If an agreement is reached, it could mark the first major revenue-sharing deal between a Chinese AI company and a major US cloud computing firm. The sources stated that Moonshot AI is seeking up to a 30% share of revenue generated from K3-related services on Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud, which is largely consistent with the terms the startup has offered to major clients using its open-weight models.

The sources also revealed that Moonshot AI has already signed similar agreements with several smaller cloud platforms. Alibaba is also seeking revenue-sharing agreements with major users of its new open-source AI model.
