Support rate hits 99.78%, Gnosis Chain's proposal to transition to an Ethereum L2 voting ends in 12 hours

Odaily Planet Daily News: The GnosisDAO proposal for Gnosis Chain to transition from a standalone Layer 1 to a Rollup instance of the Ethereum economic zone using ZK proofs will end voting in 12 hours. Currently, the support rate stands at 99.78% and has reached quorum. The proposal states that after the transition, Gnosis Chain will inherit Ethereum's security and liquidity, achieving synchronous composability with the mainnet. The validator set will be phased out, and approximately 350,000 GNO staked assets (representing 27% of the circulating supply) will be unlocked. The first version is targeted for launch by the end of 2026 or early 2027.
