OpenAI Responds to Executive Shake-Up: Company's Scale and Visibility Amplify Every Leadership Departure
Odaily News: OpenAI President and Co-founder Greg Brockman has responded to external concerns over the recent wave of executive departures, stating that the personnel changes are not unusual, and that the heightened public attention is mainly due to OpenAI's long-standing presence in the spotlight.
In an exclusive interview with CNBC's "Squawk Box," Brockman said that compared with other organizations, every personnel departure at OpenAI faces stricter scrutiny, with "each departure being amplified and interpreted," though he believes this is "actually not uncommon."
Recently, OpenAI has experienced a series of management reshuffles, sparking market concerns over the company's governance stability and future listing plans. Previous reports indicated that as OpenAI rapidly expands, the internal power structure is shifting, drawing further attention to the roles of co-founders and core management.
Brockman stated that OpenAI remains focused on advancing AI technology development, adding that the level of public attention on executive turnover is tied to the company's influence in the industry.
In recent years, OpenAI has continued to ramp up investments in model R&D, commercialization, and infrastructure, while facing intense competition from AI companies such as Google and Anthropic. As the company's future capitalization process moves forward, management stability and organizational governance capabilities have become key factors for investors. (CNBC)
