Salaries of Multiple South Korean Chaebol Chiefs in H1 Revealed: Samsung Chairman Lee Jae-yong Still Not Drawing a Salary

Odaily News: The salaries of several South Korean chaebol chiefs in H1 have been disclosed. Regulatory filings show that Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong continued to forgo a salary from Samsung Electronics in the first half of this year, a practice that has been in place since 2017. SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won received 1.75 billion Korean won (approximately RMB 8.36 million) from the group's holding company, SK Inc.

Doosan Group Chairman Park Jeong-won topped the salary chart in H1 with 45.58 billion Korean won (approximately RMB 218 million); Hanwha Group Chairman Kim Seung-youn received 11.58 billion Korean won (approximately RMB 55.3 million) from group affiliates, and Lotte Group Chairman Shin Dong-bin received 11.2 billion Korean won (approximately RMB 53.5 million). LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo received 4.83 billion Korean won (approximately RMB 23.1 million). Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chairman Chung Eui-sun received 2.25 billion Korean won (approximately RMB 10.75 million) from Hyundai Motor, 1.35 billion Korean won (approximately RMB 6.45 million) from Kia, and 900 million Korean won (approximately RMB 4.3 million) from Hyundai Mobis.
