Odaily News: A spokesperson for Iran's Joint Military Command stated, "Without approval, no vessel can safely pass through the Strait of Hormuz. Any vessel transiting the Strait of Hormuz must obtain permission from Iran, which has full control over the Strait of Hormuz. The Iranian military is monitoring U.S. movements in the region.

Trump's claims about controlling the strait are a lie, merely a manifestation of his military's helplessness.
