Japanese and South Korean stock markets close higher

Odaily News: According to Gate data, the Nikkei 225 index closed up 784.53 points, or 1.16%, at 68,308.59 on Thursday, August 13. The South Korean KOSPI index closed up 210.97 points, or 3.21%, at 6,790.01 on Thursday, August 13, with SK Hynix rising 5.9% and Samsung Electronics up 3.9%.
