Anthropic investors expect IPO valuation to potentially exceed $2 trillion, with the highest forecast reaching $3 trillion

Odaily News: Some existing investors in Anthropic expect that the company's valuation could exceed $2 trillion when it goes public as early as October this year. The six investors interviewed believe that demand for Claude and rapid revenue growth could push Anthropic's valuation to double from the $965 billion recorded in May this year.

Anthropic disclosed in May that its annualized revenue had surpassed $47 billion, and some investors expect it could reach $100 billion to $120 billion by the end of the year. One investor, applying a revenue multiple of roughly 30 times, believes Anthropic's valuation could reach as high as $3 trillion.

However, the above valuations are all investor projections. Several investors noted that Anthropic's management has not yet set an IPO valuation target. Low-cost AI model competition from China, its relationship with the U.S. government, and corporate controls on AI spending are still seen as potential risks. (FT)
