Odaily News: Japan's largest banking group, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), plans to leverage blockchain technology to provide instant settlement services for certain Japanese Government Bond (JGB) transactions.

According to reports, MUFG intends to use tokenized money market funds and stablecoins to conduct blockchain-based JGB repurchase transactions, aiming to shorten the settlement process of traditional securities trading. (Nikkei)
