Odaily News: Hester Peirce, Commissioner of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, stated that she remains optimistic about Congress passing the CLARITY Act, adding that there is still much that can be done even if the bill does not pass. Peirce noted that the SEC will continue advancing related work, making efforts regardless of whether the legislation is enacted. Even if the CLARITY Act fails to materialize, the regulator still retains considerable room to push forward the construction of a digital asset regulatory framework. Peirce has repeatedly called for clearer regulatory rules for crypto assets, arguing that a well-defined market structure would help the United States maintain competitiveness in the digital asset sector and reduce the long-standing uncertainty facing the industry.
